Some thoughts about the future
In the past few months, I have sat through some good (and some boring) presentations on the future. I can’t remember where all the following came from, so can’t attribute them, but here are a few random thoughts to mull over:

- Yesterday we kept our customers because they knew us, tomorrow we will keep them because we know them
- Techno-ability is not negotiable
- Recruiting will be a permanent job function of senior Execs
- Trust is critical – guarantees are necessary
- You need to be recruiting all the time
- Make it cool to work for you
- “Who has your client before (and after) you do?” – make alliances that make sense
- The ability to do deals WITH STRANGERS is a core competency of the future
- Create communities of interest
