I don't think you're that old (from the guy who just turned 30) - in the case of young people though, I'm sure you will agree their generation is so much more interconnected and 'virtual' than ever - through IMing, blogs and email... technology has become a great enabler and participatory medium, the development of which, will be interesting to watch in the coming years.
