I love this story - it would be funny if not so sad. At least I can always say I don't go because I have heard they are so bad, and not because I cannot afford it (truth!).

Interestingly our friends were there the same weekend and had a lovely time - but....it was their first time and they have said they wouldn't go back for various reasons linked to value for money, broader activities for kids etc.

So the new management may be satisfying (not delighting) people who have no point of reference, and really disappointing those who do, and sadly that is how such lovely places slide into mediocrity without feeling the immediate pain in terms of bed nights sold.

Greame I had just as bad an experience in January. This it not a blip it has been happening there for a while. I have freinds that went in December and also had terrible service.
I spent R 16 000 all in all including spa treatments for myself and my wife and it was a stuff up from start to finish.
I ended up with a list of over 20 things I was unhappy with, to long to include here. I have not written a letter as I will never tread foot in the place again. Its a great pitty as I have also thought the the Mount Grace had a good name, I geuss I should have saved up and gone there 3 years ago.
