Hi Graeme.

This is possibly one of the most enlightening pieces of literature I have read for a long time on the subject of workplace dynamics. Thank you.

Being a millennial myself (well I just made it, born in 1981) I have to say that this article is dead bang on target. The majority of what is said about Millennials, I completely relate to.

But I do have a couple of questions that you may wish to comment on:

How will the workplace change when the Millennials take over at the helm of the ship? Will the above listed priorities continue to be most important, or will possible economic recessions and the reality of the responsibility to the shareholder change their priorities to profit-focused, cost cutting, productivity increasing etc? I guess what I am asking is that when the pressure is on, will millenials continue to place a high premium on the abovelisted priorities, or will they go into their shells and set aside these priorities to ensure shareholders don’t sell out for more profitable ventures?
Are the millenials just the Boomers re-incarnate? Will profits and mission statements and productivity become number one as they assume responsibility of the ships they run?
